Smart cities of the future

16 and 17 June, Miguel García GonzálezDirector of Innovation at Bosonit and Nerea Razquin LizarragaInnovation Consultant at Bosonit, will give the course "Smart Cities of the Future, Design and Innovation Strategies to become a Smart City". Smart City". Course framed within the training plan for the modernisation of the local administration of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.

Course objectives

  • Training in the main areas of development of Smart Cities today:
    • Digital literacy.
    • Development of digital infrastructures and 5G.
    • Platform development Smart City.
    • E-government.
    • Smart tourism.
    • Artificial Intelligence.
    • Open Data.
  • Analyse the contribution of Smart Cities in sustainability and governance.

Course contents

  • Good practices in the strategic definition of the Smart City:
    • Planning, definition of municipal services to be included, citizen participation in their definition, architecture of the Smart cityThe selection of suppliers, tendering models, tender management, definition of management and performance indicators.
  • Strategic self-diagnostic framework of the Smart City:
    • Use of business strategy tools: PESTLE, SWOT, I2 Matrix, Innovation Axes.
  • Development of the Business Model Canvas in a city and tool development.
  • Roadmapping for a city's innovation strategy.
  • Financing plan for the strategic axes:
    • Access to European funding and development of public-private partnerships.

Who is it aimed at?

Local administration technicians, with special attention to those who are part of the Spanish Network of Smart Cities.
