However, this Friday, 17 February, the last information session will be held for people who want to join 'Opening the doors to the IT world' to look for new job opportunities in the technology sector.

NxtGen, the training and talent generation initiative of Bosonit; the Government of La Rioja and the YMCA have promoted a project called ?Opening the doors to the IT world? focusing on digitalisation to promote the labour and social integration of people at risk of social exclusion who are actively seeking employment, and to promote the presence of women in the technology sector.
The programme will start next Monday 20th February with the people who have previously attended the two information days held at NxtGen's headquarters and who have met the requirements to be part of the project. Currently, 13 of the 20 places offered are covered, of which 9 are women.
In this respect, the manager of NxtGenÁlvaro Pérez, has remarked on the great reception the project is receiving: We are particularly pleased and grateful for the number of people who have contacted us to inquire about the programme. From the very beginning, one of our priority objectives has been to fight against the gender gap and to promote the insertion of women in the IT sector, through their training in digitisation and information technologies, and, to do so, we had to reach a 50% of female participation. Today, the satisfaction is twofold, firstly, because of the good reception and, secondly, because we can say that we have reached 70% of female participation. A participation that, of course, we would like to continue to increase?.
The initiative 'Opening the doors to the IT world', which has not yet filled its places, is aimed at active or long-term jobseekers, beneficiaries of the Minimum Living Income, victims of gender violence, people with a disability of over 33 per cent, women over 45 and people with low academic qualifications. In this sense, Pérez has called for participation in the last information session to be held this Friday, 17 February in Logroño. Those interested can register by sending an e-mail to contacto@nxtgen.es or calling 692-484722.
Improving the employability of the most vulnerable groups
The training itinerary, which will last for one year, is designed in three stages: orientation, training and labour intermediation service carried out by NxtGen with the aim of achieving employment in the technology sector for at least 75 percent of the participants.
The purpose of the initiative is to reduce the digital divide through the development of the different actions that make up the programme, promoting the familiarisation and training of the people assisted in the use of new technologies and, therefore, the development of their digital competence, increasingly necessary for access to both employment and other support resources and to support the integration of women into the labour market in order to guarantee equal opportunities.
