AFarCloud efficient real-time solutions for Agriculture 4.0
On 6, 7 and 8 March, the General Assembly of the European Union was held in Vienna. AfarCloud. Bosonit met with the other sixty project participants from thirteen different countries. There, the work of the last six months was compiled and questions were resolved between the different project participants and the work of the next six months was defined.
What is the AFarCloud project?
The AFarCloud project will provide a distributed platform for autonomous farming and enable the integration and cooperation of agricultural cyber devices in real time in order to increase efficiency, productivity, animal health, food quality and reduce farm labour costs. This platform will be integrated with farm management software and will support monitoring and control solutions. decision making based on Big Data y Data Mining techniques in real time.
The AFarCloud project also aims to make agricultural robots accessible to a wider range of users by enabling agricultural vehicles to work in a cooperative mesh, thus opening up new applications and ensuring reusability, so that standard vehicles can combine their capabilities to increase farmers' income and reduce labour costs.
Bosonit participates in this project in the design and implementation phase of the middleware, the transformation, exploitation and analysis of the data obtained.
The results of AFarCloud will strengthen the partners' position in the market, boosting their ability to innovation and addressing industrial needs at both EU and international level. The consortium represents the entire value chain of ICT-based agricultural solutions, including all key actors necessary for the development, demonstration and future market uptake of the project's target precision farming framework.
